Dog Wars

Last night I watched a show called Dog Wars. It was a program devoted to what has happened to the 22 pit bulls
rescued from the vicious Michael Vick. What was done to those dogs is horrifying. One female who was considered a champion had all her teeth removed by a veterinarian in cahoots with the dog fighting ring so that when they mated her multiple times she would be unable to bite. She was also strapped into a "rape" contraption that was also seized along with the other rings and paraphernalia. All the dogs had multiple scars and the dog sanctuary that took them in were working hard to rehabilitate them so that they could become adoptable. One dog, Cherry, was so terrified of humans she had to be carried and would lie down on the ground. She was used to warm up the other fighting dogs. It was so sad. Michael Vick deserves to be in jail a long time along with his cohorts and I hope the animal loving prisoners give them a taste of their own cruelty.
