Baking brownies, Christmas shopping, two Christmas Eve parties, cooking and wondering why my new medication to treat possible Cat Scratch Disease seems not to be working. My knees are stiffer than ever. When oh when will I get back to yoga and Nautilus workouts?
For Christmas one of the presents I received was a new metallic purple iPod from my daughter Melody and her husband Ben engraved with my name. Underneath is says "Cat Whisperer." I have been using my original iPod that worked with my old PC and it looks ancient next to the new one. I went for the large hard drive and used about 1/20th of that space. That iPod got me through Chemotherapy and my workouts and made them all bearable.
Since my daughter decided I was the Cat Whisperer I think I will use that name for a project I have had on my mind for many years. My New Year's resolution is going to be to finally get it started. It will involve buying a camcorder so that will be the first hurtle as I want great resolution and it could be costly. Maybe there will be some good deals due to the economic downturn. It's not something I think will make money, it's mostly a creative goal. It took a while to get my brownies up to snuff as I stopped baking them when I went commercial many moons ago. But I got the recipe perfected again using organic ingredients. I plan on baking a lot more to give as gifts. I've taken up painting birdhouses and cookie tins again too. These past years I have become a political junkie, internet news junkie and all around TV junkie instead of attempting to be creative. I guess blogging is creative but I think it's time
to make some changes here too.
