Creating a new generation of Zionists

I've been having tiffs with my husband about Israel. One of the reasons, I told him I love the AlJazeera App on my iPad. It has news you don't see on network TV news shows. He accused me of hating Israel. Me, who read every book I could in the 60's when my mother and step-dad and two brothers converted to Judiasm. I was especially thrilled by Leon Uris' Exodus, enraged by Man In the Grey Flannel Suit and horrific holocaust facts. I engaged in the fantasy about going to Israel to fight in the '67 war but it would have meant leaving behind my daughter and I'm a lover, not a fighter. I certainly was a passionate supporter. My enthusiasm has changed but not against the state, just the right-wing leaders in power now. Clicking on my own Nation link I found this story, The Romance of Birthright Israel This article was reported by Kiera Feldman in partnership with The Investigative Fund at The Nation Institute.
And for the record, I don't notice any anti-Israel sentiment from AlJazeera either. Everyone I know loves and cares about Israel.
