President Obama hit it out of the Park last night

It was a long time coming but President Obama gave one of his greatest speeches ever to both houses of Congress and to the American people last night. I think all liberals and progressives were scared and pessimistic that the speech would be a cave-in on the promises he made during the election process.
But Barack Obama proved he is still 'the man' and his approval rating jumped 20 points after the speech. He was tough, professorial and as eloquent as ever. I could not believe as I sat watching him that he actually does support a public option and will make it a crime for insurance companies to deny care for pre-existing conditions and you can not be dropped by insurance companies if you become ill. Sounds like Medicare. Of which I am a lucky and proud member. Didn't like reaching that age but life has become more affordable and I receive excellent care plus I finished out my breast cancer treatment while on it. I never get denials for any test my oncologist wants me to get to make sure the cancer hasn't come back. Obama fired up his base once again. Ready to volunteer for him if called on.
