Last night I watched the two hour program by Henry Louis Gates, Jr. about President Lincoln. Today as I watched the ceremony in the Rotunda where President Obama spoke I kept thinking about how Lincoln invokes such deep feelings of sadness whenever I see his face. I found this picture at the White House's website. I find it amazing what deep affection I have for him. It is as intense as my love for President Obama and President Clinton.
