See the toadies and clown Republicans moan and whine about the Stimulus Package. You will get a real sense of who the turkeys are obstructing President Obama. The toadies that get their talking points from the swinish Rush Limbaugh. After eight years of Republican rule we have ended up in the toilet and they have flushed our wealth away, into their rich cronies pockets with their 1.2 trillion in tax cuts. But no, they can't offer anything other than more tax cuts and bullying. Speaking of swine, Karl Rove said how gracious the Republicans had been to President Obama by attending his cocktail parties and listening to him.
It feels like the political atmosphere during the civil war except this time the South is run by Republicans and the Blue states by Democrats. Everything has reversed, except the terrible partisanship and mean spiritedness.
Even my one favorite Republican, Rep. Jeff Flake from Arizona, who I just discovered is on Twitter is disappointing and calling the bill full of pork. What difference does it make who gets the money if it creates jobs? I came to my affection for Mr. Flake when I saw him on 60 Minutes months ago. But, I just read that Jeff Flake has voted with a majority of his Republican colleagues 90.9% of the time during the current Congress. This percentage does not include votes in which Flake did not vote. So, my affection is over. It takes a little investigation but you can check out any congressperson's stats. Just because they are attractive and charming is not good enough.
