I talked to my dear friend and neighbor who just returned from a yearly vacation with friends. I told her about what I had committed to do regarding helping to clean up Fairmount Park on January 19th as my Day of Service.
She said she would do it with me (we are both rabid gardeners) but that it was supposed to be freezing on that day. Later I went to the Supermarket and just walking around in the store made me painfully conscious of my aching legs.
When I got home and put everything away I had to lie down immediately and my legs were on fire from the knees down to my feet. I had only been out cat food and grocery shopping for about a couple hours total and I brought on all this pain.
There is no way I can keep the commitment. I wanted to but maybe they can delay the clean-up until a Spring day. Of course, I can't do anything that requires standing and walking until this bacterial condition goes away. I went for more blood-work testing on a Friday. Some of the tests listed on my prescription baffled the lab staff at Lankenau. The tech was looking them up in a big book and could not find one of them. I will have to go another day during the week and it will require ten vials of blood.
I think I am going to look for holistic cures, like drinking Monavie, eating Cherries, drinking Noni and continue with all the antioxidants my doc suggested. I was already on most of them when this all started. I may have to take up swimming which I really hate doing and I'll have to buy full body wetsuit as I am not going out in pubic in a bathing suit. I quit that years ago. If it ain't pretty, it's staying hidden.
