How is John McCain's Affair Different from John Edwards?

I am mad as hell at John Edwards, but he is not my husband. Read all about it here. I confess I had never heard about John McCain's first wife's disfigurement and his leaving her for the beer queen. Seems like John McCain is pretty disfigured himself.
