Valerie Plame Wilson at the Constitution Center

Last night instead of being glued to the TV watching the election returns, I went to see Valerie Plame Wilson who was interviewed by Trudy Rubin of the Inquirer at the Constitution Center. It was a treat to see her in person and hear about her personal ordeal at the hands of Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, Scooter Libby and Bob Novak. The CIA treated her pretty bad considering she had been such an effective covert agent. When the talk was over it was announced that Senator Arlen Specter was also in the audience.
I would have enjoyed the talk much more had I not been sitting behind a lady that kept fiddling with her frizzy red hair on top of her head and sucking at her fingers who never stopped moving. And her ever fidgeting husband who was sitting beside me. And the frizzy rdhead kept turning arund to tap him on the knee when he doze off. Very annoying.
I almost stopped by the bar Tangiers at 17th and Lombard where Drinking Liberally meets every Tuesday evening but I was anxious to get home to see who was winning in the primary states. The group had probably split by then anyway.
